Dr. Lawler is a specialist in stress medicine and adrenal dysregulation (previously called adrenal "fatigue"). Her work integrates natural medicine approaches to support anxiety and depression, auto-immune disorders, thyroid optimization and a wide range of women’s health concerns—such as menopause, endometriosis, menstrual irregularities, and natural hormone balancing and replacement.
She is passionate about utilizing mind-body concepts to work with patients who are struggling with anxiety and depression. Dr. Lawler recognizes that treating anxiety and depression is a complicated concern and she approaches it functionally addressing all of the factors that can create distress and disharmony.
She recognizes that the relationship between the provider and the patient is a powerful tool and that with a strong collaborative partnership the root cause can be identified and treated. What is best for the PATIENT may be herbal based or include a combination of herbal support and prescription medication optimization. Part of her asessment often will include functional medicine testing which can include the measurement of hormones, neurotransmitters such as serotonin and dopamine and cortisol to identify any areas that are out of balance.
Dr. Lawler enjoys working with women at all stages of life. She very strongly believes that women should be educated, particularly during peri-menopause, so that positive decisions can be made to promote LONG TERM health. She utilizes a "foundation first" system for women to get them set up for moving through this challenging phase of life, focusing not only on hormone replacement therapy, but on nutrition, optimizing exercise, sleep and the emotional/spiritual shifts that are part of this period of life.
She also very much enjoys working with athletes, helping them optimize nutrition and breakthrough performance plateaus that are often rooted in adrenal and cortisol dysfunction.
Dr. Lawler’s professional philosophy is grounded in cultivating true partnerships with her patients.
“I like to spend time with my patients, getting to know them. It is my wish that during our time together, they feel completely heard and accepted without judgment. It is imperative that we work together to get to the root of the problem, rather than medicating symptoms that may resurface later.”
We really love our patients in this practice!!! We hope that you look forward to your appointments and leave feeling heard, educated, empowered, respected and HOPEFUL.
Her approach reflects a deep respect for the body’s innate capacity to heal when given the right foundation and support.
A healer does not heal you.
A healer
is someone who holds space for you
while you awaken your inner healer,
so that you may heal yourself.

Dr. Lawler is an expert at taking complex health concerns and distilling them into a clear, actionable course that addresses the issue at its very beginning—the root cause.
She views each patient as a “spider-web” of interconnected systems, recognizing that symptoms are rarely isolated and instead reflect how these systems interact. Whether supporting someone through menopause with a trajectory of vitality or unraveling a chronic stress pattern that has contributed to autoimmune disease, Dr. Lawler treats the whole picture—not just the presentation.
Patients value her educational approach and often enjoy when the “whiteboard” comes out, illustrating how multiple concerns are deeply interconnected. Her goal is always to establish a strong, resilient foundation of health before moving on to higher-level interventions, which often carry greater risks or side effects. For a treatment plan to be successful, you have to put in the effort.
Prior to your first appointment you will receive a link to our electronic portal where we HIGHLY encourage you to fill out your health history. Functional medicine requires investigation and thoughtful conversation so the more information that you can provide Dr. Lawler, the more that you will get out of your appointment. The paperwork will take longer than you think. This is not a 15-minute appointment that most people are accustomed to. Please be thorough in filling out your paperwork, including downloading any imaging and/or lab work from outside providers. This will allow your ONE-on ONE time with the doctor to be productive. Additionally, please bring your CURRENT insurance card, ID and co-pay.
Most insurance plans cover both naturopathic and acupuncture services. It is the PATIENTS RESPONSIBILITY to check for coverage prior to your visit. The current insurance companies are accepted: Regence, Kaiser (must say First Choice on the card) or Premera. We are happy to provide you with a superbill that you can turn into your insurance company if you do not have one that we accept. Important to note that at this time Medicare DOES NOT cover any naturopathic services.

Acupuncture has a lot of benefits, and one of the reasons people love it is because it helps the body do what it’s designed to do—find balance.
Many people notice it helps reduce stress and calm the nervous system, which can improve sleep, mood, and overall energy. It’s also commonly used for pain relief, whether that’s headaches, neck and back pain, joint issues, or old injuries that just won’t let go.
Acupuncture can support hormone balance, making it helpful for things like PMS, menopause symptoms, and fertility support. It often improves digestion and gut health, boosts immune function, and helps the body recover more efficiently—something athletes especially appreciate.
One of the most surprising benefits? People often say they feel more clear-headed, grounded, and relaxed after a session, even if they came in for something physical. That’s because acupuncture works on the whole system, not just one symptom.
In short, it’s not about forcing change—it’s about giving your body the nudge it needs to heal, reset, and function better overall.
We currently are only accepting new Naturopathic patient by referral only, whether it is from an existing patient or a local clinic. If you have been referred to us, please reach out and we will email you a new patient screening questionnaire, to insure we are a good match and can provide the proper care. We always welcome new Acupuncture patients.
Dr. Lawler dedicates meaningful, one-on-one time to each patient to ensure every visit is thorough, personalized, and unhurried. Because of this commitment to quality care, the number of appointments available each day is limited and the schedule often fills quickly once new dates open.
Our calendar is typically scheduled about three months in advance, and many patients book their next visit ahead of time to maintain a consistent treatment schedule. We strongly encourage patients to schedule early and plan ahead to secure the times that work best for them.
If you need to cancel or change an appointment, please provide as much notice as possible so that another patient has the opportunity to use that time. Same-day cancellations or missed appointments are subject to a $50 fee.
To stay on track with your care, it is the patient’s responsibility to check in regularly and schedule upcoming visits so you can maintain a consistent care plan with Dr. Lawler.
We also maintain a cancellation list for patients who would like an earlier appointment if one becomes available. When an opening occurs, we send a text message to patients on the list. Messages are sent in small batches with a few minutes between each message to give recipients a fair chance to respond. Availability will depend on your schedule and how quickly you are able to reply when a cancellation opens.
